Attitudes to life

John Bishop; Liverpool UK comedian. Been off the gig circuit for 2 years, now just started a new one.

When asked how he prepared for the new tour ,said ..

" I really do not do much preparation apart from a few ' ice breakers ' . I just live my life and hope that something funny happens".

How wonderful it would be if we could all adopt that attitude . Live a life as simple as possible. It could be hilarious!

I sometimes wonder how comedians do what they do. My only theory is that they have a great mental store of the completely unexpected happenings following a related situation that they have engineered.

I so admire comedians, musicians and anyone who makes a living out of making sense or humor out of our daily strife, let alone a world wide crisis and political shenanigans.

And the presentation is an art form in itself.

Yes, And I think the pleasure one gets from comedians is that you have found someone who has thought of an angle to a problem that you are un-capable of finding or just have not got time to find. This gives you hope that there really are solutions out there.

When my son was little, I had one rule: At the end of every day, we were supposed to tell each other about a funny thing that happened that day. That way, we always had our eyes open for something humorous, even if we were having a rough time. It helps to stay in a basically good mood.

A really good idea !
