Hitler's Germany had its Big Lie. Todays MAGA's are extremely close to Germany's Nazi supporters in most of their views. Militant ignorance has been with us through the ages.

Depends on what you mean by "militant ignorance." If you mean weaponized motivated reasoning and false arguments, yes.
