A friend, middle class wage earner said, there is more in his take-home, then he got a raise and a bonus because of the new tax package. Company he works for telling everybody that it is because of the new corporate tax structure and they should thank tRump. OK, if this company is passing it along, I wonder how many others.

What is the real story? I'm havng trouble buying this.

1

He's going to drag the planet down into the 10th level of non-existant Hell.

Gas is going Up, over $0.15 gallon in the last 8 days! So we get $2.00 raise in Social Security, max,and it gets yet taken in one fill-up. MAGA, my ass!

My raise from SS was $40, but Medicare Part B went up $20, so I actually didn't even get a COLA raise.

If I had to choose someone in political history that can make everyone think they are dumb as a WWF wrestling promoter and pull off what seems to be some inane pranks with the diversions like playing with the pres like he does. Every politician should get on twitter and start talking dumb.

(1) Defeated ISIS quickly.
(2) Ended over-regulation of business.
(3) Ended government support for the global warming hoax.
(4) Lowered taxes; rate down from 15% to 12% for lower middle class, and 25% to 22% for upper middle class. Coporate tax rates are now competitive with the rest of the world; unincorporated business tax break requires hiring workers, raising employment.
(5)Bringing peace to Korea. If completed this will be the most historic accomplishment since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Trump's personal weaknesses are all too obvious. His performance as President is so far easily the best since Ronald Reagan. I am happy that Trump isn't part of my family, and also very happy that he is in the White House.

You missed helping veterans that were being rejected as protocol required. Now getting claims examined not in 7 years like before, now being reviewed and helped in 6 months employing more people to help process these claims.

(1) Bullshit, ISIS was defeated gradually by the combined forces of many countries and finale just happened to occur on Trump's watch. Arguably Obama or even Bush policies had more effect. As did the Kurds.
(2) Business has been demonstrably UNDER-regulated since Reagan (cf Global Financial crisis, Tulip Bubble, and WW1 for further information)
(4) Corporate tax rates only apply to companies who actually pay tax. Cutting them is a bit of pseudo-libertarian smoke and mirrors. Lowering personal tax is only of value if it reduces the increasingly dangerous (to democracy) wealth gap.
(5) The jury is still out. This may be a major accomplishment IF he can move decisively enough to capitalise on the moment. The personal deficiencies you mention suggest that he won't.
(3) Just counts as magical thinking up there with deism of all sorts.

Leftists always prattle about "the wealth gap". I can't discuss that subject better than the late great Prime Minister of the UK, Margaret Thatcher:

Respectfully
(1) was well underway b4 Trump. It was just a matter of time. Iraq was building to fight back and Turkey was clamped down from purchasing illegal oil. Every source of funding was cut off to ISIS by UN resolution. They could no longer tax internally enough money to sustain their campaign. It was bound to fold but in the meantime Al-qaeda is regaining what they lost to ISIS and then some.
(2) that will bite back in less than a generation i.e. pollution, lead, mercury. Flint will be small potatoes in comparison. Aquafers already running low will run dry while surface water will get flammable by leaking pipelines and rampant fracking.
(3) Global warming described as a Hoax is only used in the US. Renewable energy is outpacing all fossil fuels anyway but not participating equally in a voluntary cap on emissions that Syria, North Korea and all other country in the world has accepted is ludicrous. The US is isolated and handing the steering wheel to China and the EU.
(4) Kudos there. Mission accomplished but unfortunately corporate America has been aggressively buying back shares and automating their production lines to increase company valuation and reducing the workforce
(5) Don't count your chickens before they hatch. I will give you this one once the UN nuclear inspectors will be granted unilateral access to inspect North Korea. Trump has belittle South Korea so much, I would not be surprised that North Korea has negotiated to make the reunified Korea a nuclear power instead on relying on the US.
( 6) you forgot the renegotiation of trade agreements (NAFTA, Milk, Soft lumber, TPP, etc...) because every sovereign country in the world (irony) wants to avoid trade wars

@Sealybobo 3K? Im jealous. I'm getting $300

@SherryMartin I'll pitch my which $0, my SS raise this year didn't matter, they raised Part B Medicare.

@azzow2 Where? When? Last I heard they weren't even hiring enough to maintain previous levels.

@AnneWimsey So how would the increase in time go from 7 years to 6 months with out doing paperwork faster?

I am not a supporter, but he does seem to have bullied North Korea into a more reasonable stance on nuclear weapons. That helps all Americans. I am still trying to comprehend what has happened. I have been thinking about how in nature some animals put on a bluff and big display to scare off predators or competition, so it might boil down to some sort of primitive natural behavior. I can't think of anything else. Again - not a supporter - just trying to keep an open mind.

Being the bully boy of the school yard is I know the usual technique employed by the USA but there are other ways. Perhaps negotiation is an option but of course no weapons could be sold if countries were amical.

The invisible loss is the respect and cooperation of the world. HRC would have kept Korea and Russia in check with strategic alliances, if not some military mussel. tump’s belligerence may appear ‘a win’ to some, but his reckless abandonment of necessary allies will be costly…

@Varn You are absolutely right. There are costs.

He's inspired more people to get involved in politics for change, including transgender people, women, and young people.

Hopefully for the good

Not a supporter, or even an American, and this is only indirect as far as making America great, but for now Kim of the challenged hairsyle seems to have pulled his head in a bit. I think he is a bit concerned by dealing with another person who comes across as unhinged and unpredictable.

he's a fucking idiot
