I love to cuddle up with a good book or preferably with a woman who has read one. πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

Ahhh... well said!

At this point I don't even care if they can read.

I just don't understand people who don't like to read, how sad their childhood must have been. On more than one occasion I've stayed up all night reading a good book.

It is called ADD. My ability to concentrate for long periods of time is very limited. Overly descriptive writers will lose me by around 300 pages. I have a brain and can paint my own pictures. I don't need every little thing described in detail. I want them to get a move on the story. I have never made it through a Stephen King novel because of this style of writing, and I like King. It is the same with most books on science. They repeat everything so much I get bored and have to put it down. I have done much better with recorded books.

@Sticks48 I am glad you have found something that works for you. I have never read King, I don't generally like his genre. I remember that in second grade I was so engrossed in a book I did not hear the teacher call my reading group, she smacked my desk to get my attention. My kids learned that if they wanted to ask permission for something I was likely to say "no" to, to ask when I was reading. I don't do well with audio books, my mind is likely to wander off on an adjacent path and I lose track of the story. If I am in a class I have to take written notes to stay focused. Humans are really one size does not fit all, neurodivergence is a thing, and I think it is a good thing.

@Sticks48 I have a friend with ADHD and he devours audiobooks. He brings me a flash drive with three or four books on it every week or so. Unfortunately I go to sleep with the audiobook still playing and then I have no idea where to start again.

Depends on the book, doesn’t it?

@Sierra4 interesting to know how discerning you are about women.

@Sierra4 I am.

3

Just one? Does it matter which one?

@Sierra4 preference, to the woman or book. Language is not an exact exact science. I read a woman who has read β€˜a’ book.

Ah, same, only male. πŸ˜‰

Likewise… I too am a sapiosexual.

Either.
