This is a first.

I omit “under god” every time I recite the Pledge of Allegiance. And because I belong to fraternal organizations, I recite it often.

@MsKathleen And in wasn’t originally there in the first place…….but put there because of legislation.

Is it? I ask because I thought atheism was somewhat more common or socially accepted in some parts of Europe. I don't know if it's confirmed that an atheist is head of state in Germany, but has there been an atheist head of state previously in Europe?
