Pastor who approved of marital rape removed from Seventh-day Adventist Church
Burnett Robinson will no longer be allowed to serve as pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

On November 13th, a senior pastor at the Grand Concourse Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church, Burnett Robinson, told husbands in his sermon that “the best person to rape is your wife.” Robinson preached from the Letters of the Apostle Paul to the Ephesians to justify this.
"The apostle blatantly declares that wives should submit themselves to their husbands." Robinson reminded the wives present in his sermon that they were no longer their own once married. “You are your husband’s,” Robinson declared. During his sermon, he mentioned that he saw a woman on television who sued her husband for rape. He then proceeded to allude that rape does not count for legally married couples.

“The Greater New York Conference of Seventh-day Adventists recognizes many have been deeply harmed by the sentiments expressed by Robinson,” a statement said. “The views he expressed are wrong and not accepted by our church. Rape and sexual assault of women are crimes and should always be treated as such. We will continue to educate and counsel all pastors, seminary students, and staff to fully understand that this type of rhetoric is abhorrent and unequivocally unacceptable.”

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has 1.2 million members in the U.S. and Canada and more abroad.

Grand Concourse, located in the Bronx borough, is a large church with 977 members.

When will these stupid men and women of "faith" realize that the laws and rules in the Bible, and the rules and laws all over this planet were written by MEN, and written for their own benefit.

I wonder how Burnett Robinson would feel if he was repeatedly subject to marital buggery and marital torture.
