When it come terrorism , it's Martial law and nobody is safe, especially protesters or non compliance. Like the beating and violence and arrest done by the police and Canadians military. The U.S. placed sanctions on Venezuela in 2019.
Much of what the United States has been importing from Russia is a gooey, semi-refined
fuel that the Russians call "mazut" that is similar to the Venezuelan product.
Some U.S. plants have specialized systems to refine these fuels, and some oil companies
have turned to Russia to keep those factories going in the absence of Venezuelan imports.

Always about the money and it's the oil oligarchs who control what happens and the price of oil, not Biden.

While the XL pipeline would have been able to carry up to 830,000 barrels of oil every day
it ain't built and would not have been built in time to deal with what putin is up to. The stuff
from Russia accounts for less than 10% of what we refine/use.

Presidential policy absolutely has a direct effect on oil prices within our country and Biden signed more executive orders in his first month in office than any other president on in American history. And when he did, prices gradually started going up.

The XL pipeline isn’t actually meant for US oil consumption. The pipeline is to transport oil to shipping points in the gulf so that the global supply can be sustained if another nation was or needed to be shut out. That’s why Biden cut off the XL pipeline but gave the green light to Putin’s pipeline after Trump would not.

More steel mills opened in the US under Trump than any president in the past 25 years. 40% of one pipe line (if it’s true) isn’t much at all. A few million tons maybe total maybe. An auto company will use 5 times that much steel in a month.
How did prices increase under Trump compared to Biden???

@CourtJester Corporate greed. Why are they all raising their prices when profits were up? I realize there is a global situation now with Ukraine, but corporate sees that as one more excuse to raise prices. The supply v demand will now remain an issue. Irrelevant who's president, it's just a campaign gambit that most people fall into.

Let’s say a company has to run on a 5% profit for the owner to make $100,000 a year profit. Your normal mom and pop shop could only hope for that in most cases in this area of normal Alabama. I know many that make between 40-60k.

Trucking goes up, you drop 1% profit on what’s coming in, but then the people you’re buying it from have to pay shipping in and out too…. Add another 1%.

Minimum wage jumps to $15.00 for a high school kid to work in your store.
