It is such a brilliant concept, and I totally get where you're coming from. There's nothing worse than trying to enjoy a meal and being surrounded by unruly kids. Your restaurant idea could be a total game-changer for those seeking a calm dining experience. As for me, I've been seriously considering starting my own restaurant too. It's a big step, but I think it's worth it. In my research, I came across EPOS systems, and they seem like a fantastic tool to streamline business operations. I found some useful info on businessfinanced.co.uk. So, kudos to you for bringing this refreshing idea to life, and good luck with your venture.

Congratulations on opening your restaurant! The name "Peace And Quiet..." sounds really relaxing and inviting. $150 seems a bit steep for kids' meals, but hey, maybe you've got some fancy gourmet stuff going on. Personally, I'm always on the lookout for family-friendly places with reasonably priced options. I'm a huge fan of Asian cuisine, especially from an awesome Asian restaurant in Auckland CBD. The flavors they bring to their dishes are just out of this world, and it's my go-to spot whenever I'm craving some delicious Asian food.

Fully agree. Let me eat my meal in peace please. 👍

Yes, that's the whole point of going out.....to enjoy being served a meal prepared by someone else. Why have your treat ruined?

I did not marry until I was 54. Encountering a man who wanted to remain childless, who I could endure, and who could endure me, was indeed a challenge. The worst is when a child on a leash is permitted by guardian to assault my table when I am enjoying a peaceful. lunch. "Oh he's just trying to be friendly". Well can you perceive that I am not? So I pack up and move to another table.

I had 3 children, but they were not allowed to interrupt, pester, annoy anyone, or leave a restaurant table unless it was to use the restroom, & I'd go with them. They had to sit in the seats, facing us while eating & talking.

I do not have the attitude that all children are little darlings, including my own, or my grandchildren, & great grandchildren.

Is there a surcharge if the preschooler is the one who has to count out the money to pay at the cash? That's just so darling when everyone gets to line up with their bill while little bobby or susy gets to practice their counting skills while the adoring parents look on and encourage them to complete the task on their own.

Not bloody impressive.

@Lilac-JadeCanada I can honestly that the occasions I have experienced this I was completely unimpressed.

I hate the way they hold up the line at the cash register.

@TomMcGiverin I think that home schooling may be part of the problem. lol

@SnowyOwl No shit..

I wonder why, I have not seen a post get that many likes in ages.

Because we all hate kids.

I thought it was funny but kids have to eat too and parents sometimes just don't have the energy to cook. Your dislike of exposure to children would push parents to unhealthy fast food restaurants.

There are family-friendly diners in my small town. I've often enjoyed watching some of the children in the table next to me. Part of the time I've been annoyed by them but I've also been annoyed by adults in the same restaurant.

@Lorajay My kids only got to a restaurant as a very seldom treat, & they had to behave themselves while there, or they wouldn't make a return visit.

@Lorajay People who want to enjoy a fine meal in an adult atmosphere have that right. There are plenty of options for the rugrats. There's only a few restaurants in the United States with these policies. Children with their parents are not prevented from eating in 99% of the restaurants anywhere

Children shouldn't be allowed out of the house until they are 18yo. Except for boarding school.

Make that forty years old.

Bite your tongue! If you said that publicly here in Iowa, where kids and family are so damned all-important, they'd lynch you! No wonder I can't find a compatible woman to date on Match, because practically all of them, even at my age, are still extremely family and kid-oriented. While I am child-free by choice and have no interest in visiting their grandkids with them or seeing their family more than a couple times a month. Even the women without kids seem to be only seeking family men with kids. Almost everybody seems to have drank the Kool-Aid on this issue.

@TomMcGiverin Haha, I understand where you're coming from. But I live in SW Florida which is largely inhabited by old fogies who also don't like kids much. Actually, I don't mind kids much IF they're well behaved. Unfortunately, well-behaved kids seem to be kinda scarce these days.
