No shit: in his opinion Alito actually cited jurisprudence from a guy (Sir Matthew Hale) who believed in witches.

We run the chance that Alito also believes in witches.

Alito is "only" 72, but that doesn't mean he hasn't lost his marbles.

That's assuming he ever had them.

Alito's opinion should demonstrate, quite clearly, he has lost his faculties.

It also makes me wonder if it was one of his clerks who may have leaked the draft.

Using his faulty historical references as "rationale", perhaps a clerk was signaling to opposing factions how they might be able to attack the precedent?

I don't know, but if I were the ACLU and the FFRF, I'd be prepping for an appeal/attack based on his uses of religious beliefs and fucking ancient history, if this decision is actually released as stated in the draft.

You can bet they will sanitize it before the final draft comes out.

While I think Alito is wrong on many issues, including this one, a Supreme Court ruling cannot be appealed. A new suit citing Constitutional issues would have to be filed and accepted by the Court.

@Alienbeing Okay, fine. There's plenty to bring.

@KKGator Yep, there is.
