Philosophy often tends to degenerate into overthinking and navel-gazing but it doesn't have to. It is certainly way better than the alternative, which is not at all reality-based.

Religion = re (again) Ligare (To bind) Literally: to bind one self again (in servitude as in a bondsman ie. a slave)
