Where are all the profilers? They should have an idea of potential risks that warrant keeping an eye on. They could have mental health professionals at their schools/work offer assistants, watch their progress on social media, and intervene before it escalates to violence.

I would find the person who was the superior to each of these people and fire them, then I would find their superiors and fire them.

The question is unfettered access to firearms if there are red flags. And let’s be honest, if these acts were all being committed by Muslim extremists with ties to Al Qaeda or ISIL (like Orlando & San Bernardino for example), the Feds would now be monitoring their every move.

@p-nullifidian What's a red flag? A protective order? A claim of domestic violence? Would Johnny Depp have lost his 2nd Amendment rights and had to go through a lengthy and expensive process to get them back?
@BD66 Red flags are determined by a judge and generally involve threats of bodily harm made against another party or parties, or actual assault and battery, which would result in not only a restraining order but a removal of the individual’s right to legally possess firearms. Such threats can be made in person, in writing via handwritten notes, as was the case for John Hinckley, or via social media, as has been the case for so many mass shooters in recent years.
Red flags also can be threats made to take one’s own life via a firearm, and should always involve intervention by mental health professionals.
Would you mind sharing the source for that? I'm not challenging its veracity. I would just like more information about it
