I’m on here for dating but also to connect with like minded people. I live in the Bible Belt and it’s very difficult to find people with the same beliefs (or lack there of) around here so I come here to have intelligent conversations.

Dating is secondary to socializing for me. I will socialize with raw abandon, but proceed with extreme caution in matters of the heart.

This site is still pretty new so it may take a little longer for a wider pool of women to show up in your neck of the woods. I'm here for dating but enjoy reading and posting comments which in the long run might be the best way to connect with someone. By the way, Match is overstocked with catfish, grifters and our friends, the Russians.

Or, do you mean people "visiting" your profile? Visitors to your profile my just be curious about who you are, where you live, etc. -- male or female.

Yeah, lots of people are here for dating. Are the guys who are contacting you indicating that they're interested in dating? If so, I find that odd.

It would help people get to know you and earn you points if you write your profile and answer the profile questions. You can then comment on posts and do your own posts, to gain more points. But when you reach level two, you can send private messages.

If your profile spells out your dating preferences it might cut down on gay guys hitting on you, but I suspect they are like most cis hetero guys..mostly reacting to your photo, without reading anything.
You're pretty, so many could assume you're gay.

You can't expect the ladies to just fall from the sky. You have to actually message anyone that you're interested in. Good luck to you.

You can do a search using the "Meet" tab and choosing "people" and limit your search to women near you.

I plan to use the site to possibly meet dates eventually, but the site is less than a year old and still growing in membership, and as of yet the selection seems a bit sparse still (in my local area). In the mean time i am contributing, educating myself a bit more and getting lots of book recommendations.

You may be asking the wrong questions. Try initiating topics that might be of interest to women.
