If they're going to burn books, start with the Bible. And while your at it, throw in the "Quran".

I understand the sentiment, but it's important to remember that books, including religious texts like the Bible and the Quran, hold deep significance for many people. They are sources of faith and wisdom.

On a brighter note, if you're passionate about books and reading, you might want to explore bookwormera.com. It's a great place to discover a wide range of books across various genres and expand your literary horizons.

What's the point of getting worked up at the burning of a single book, when there are millions of copies of them available.

It's just a metaphor, Mr. Level 9! They're talking about "banning" books from school libraries, but as you should know, that's only a beginning. Ray Bradbury wrote a book about it. It was called Farenheit 451, and it was Science Fiction. We're not there yet but Florida is a start! While you're at it, read "It Can't Happen Here" by Sinclair Lewis. It's about the "MAGA" movement, written 80 years before "Trumpism".

@fishline79 I read Fahrenheit 451in my early twenties, some 60 years ago. I was an avid fan of "predictive" science fiction. (As opposed to fanciful science fantasy.)
The rationale of my comment still stands. Why do people get het up about the burning of a single copy of a mass produced book? Nobody gets worked up into a frenzy if someone burns a copy of a mass produced bank note. For that matter, why get worked up about the burning of a flag. It is only symbolism.

@Petter It's not just a single book. What you say is akin to saying, "What does it matter that the police thugs kill one black motorists? There are so many more that were spared"

@fishline79 So? It is still a single book, containing many stories. Your analogy is disingenious. Burning a book has no relationship to taking a life.
Rubbish dumps burn many books every week.

@Petter Never mind.
