This demonstrates why the religious right is dangerous.

I thought these situations are always the gun's fault.

When you have a heart attack and then get more religious, later losing your job and thinking this is bringing on some "end time" event it appears you have really personalized your religion. I can only assume that the book of Revelation had also played a part in all of this. You wanna be a martyr? Shoot at the police and I bet they will shoot back. Now you are dead but friends and other religious followers know that you were right. This is but yet another reason that I distance myself from all religion in all countries.

I wrote a song about such nonsense.

What ever terrorists attacks that have happen in the US, in this Police State. We will find the authoritieian Police kill 8 to 40 times greater than terrorists. I find nationalism more dangerous than religion. That has not been always the case. It's alway been centroism or imperialism extremes. , than this abuse gets tamed by the collective consciousness of the people.

The truth is stranger than the fiction on what we have been forced to accept as truth.
I cannot comment on the actual case, but I do know a little bit about police procedures.
Four junior police offers going to a remote location unprepared for any unforeseen circumstances is unbelievable.
Sending out 4 officers for a missing person case. Hmmmm???
Police sharpshooters that can only shoot to kill???
After the tragic shooting, the police bought the property , security fenced the property, keeping all but the police out. (speculations and unsubstantiated theories abound for the reason behind the purchase)
There are a lot more inconsistencies in the police narrative of the events,
All potential witnesses have been shot, therefore we are getting one side of the story with no way to ascertain the truth of the matter.

The Train family pretty well deserved what they got, and we are presented with evidence that they were well prepared for a shootout with police.
Being well educated ex school teachers one does wonder what their real motivations, reasons and mental states were.
The Tara community is a bit safer without them by all accounts, but a wounded live perpetrator could have given us their version of the truth in the whole tragedy.
The first casualty in any conflict is truth!

Perfect! I can now use the excuse of being financially motivated to rob a bank!

Mind you anglophone, I won't be hitting my bank. It's a bit silly stealing your own money.

Wackos exist in every country. Just in the US more of them have easy access to any kind of firearms.

Nothing like a little violence to bring on the period of "peace and prosperity." Christians are SOOOOO fucked up!!!!!

Until the last day, there is little to no mention that the family were really religious in any meaningful way.
Is it media hype or a new truth?
The Abrahamic religions remain the most depraved bloodthirsty, fanatical marauders to inhabit our lovely planet. Give them more time and they will destroy that too.
