Agree, but house arrest is possible.
@Flyingsaucesir I fuckin' wish I could get house arrest on a luxury golf resort. That's not really a punishment.
@ChestRockfield Oh yeah, it would only be symbolic. But that's better than nothing.
If only we had a political system where politicians were held accountable for their crimes and failings.

Re the system, I imagine the founding fathers intended the presidential pardon to be used to correct injustices. But, at least in my lifetime, it has been used mostly to let scumbags get off scott free.
