Suicide shouldn’t even be counted. The most dangerous cities in the US are almost all run by democrats.

As an outsider I would appreciate a link that supports your statement, kindly furnish some evidence

Yeah, you need to provide evidence to support your claim. Go do your homework.

Even if we give your statement the benefit of the doubt, it still does not help your case.

Any city is bound to have more crime than a rural area. And yet the crime in cities is not enough to skew the damning state data. You are still faced with the undeniable fact that states with Republican leadership have more gun violence.

@Flyingsaucesir He's an idiot. They all try that same argument as if it means anything. Most gun laws are still state laws, so obviously an inner city with the same gun laws as a rural area will have exponentially more of just about everything except cows. But he's a Republican. And Republicans have zero critical thinking skills.

@ASTRALMAX I’m sure the overwhelming majority of these cities are run by democrats.

@ASTRALMAX, @ChestRockfield At least I back sensible people who favour secure borders, lower taxes, less regulations, law and order and a strong military.

@ASTRALMAX I’m very familiar with which states are blue and which are red and I’ll take the red ones over the blue any day. Hell in England you don’t even have the right to shoot a criminal who breaks into your home. Here in the US you do. I know of a case where a home owner in England shot a intruder who broke into his house he got in more trouble than the criminal who broke in. That would rarely happen here in the US.

@Trajan61 The laws here are different from those in your country. If someone breaks into my house and that someone is armed with a knife or something that could be used as a weapon I have the right to defend myself and if in the ensuing struggle he gets badly injured or killed then all that happened, after due deliberation is taken into account . If he is unarmed and I shoot him dead when I had the option to call the police and have him arrested then the law does not look favourably on my course of action. Here we use the terms ‘reasonable force.’ If the law deems that excessive and disproportionate force was used by me then the outcome is usually in "favour" of the burglar. Granted that if someone with a family is awakened in the middle of the night by the noise of someone breaking into house he may be unlikely to act in a reasonable manner.

Republicans making laws so that Republicans can kill more Republicans. I can't think of a better sentence to hear.

Trouble is, it's not just MAGAts that get killed.

@Flyingsaucesir I know, I'm just being an asshole. The fact that their "politics" costs lives is the very reason older generations don't understand why "it's just a difference of opinion, we need th learn to get along despite political affiliation" isn't true anymore. It's also why such a large percentage of each party (especially Dems) says they wish the members of the other party would "just die". I'm firmly in the camp of, "I don't care what the ramifications, I would push a button that killed all Republicans/Trump supporters without a second thought".

@ChestRockfield Yeah, I feel you, but saying "I would push a button" is a long, long way from actually spilling another human being's blood. Have you ever killed a large animal? Seen it shake and writhe in its death throes? Heard the rattle in its throat? I have, and I can tell you that killing is very nasty work. I will stump and debate and argue and harangue and, yes, compromise all day long before I will go killing people over their political views. That being said, there is certainly a line somewhere out there where I would unleash hell upon my enemies. But we're not there yet. Let's first use the rule of law to hold the ringleaders accountable. And any who violently rise up to defend them, we can crush them in good conscience, and sleep well at night.

@Flyingsaucesir Oh, for sure. I'm not saying we should do the killing and I'm certainly not saying kill only some of them. Just "if there was a magical button" thought experiment stuff.

I live in a Republican hell state. We had a couple of Democrat governors, and then the farmers revolt. Sometimes I have trouble remembering why I moved back here and stay here.

Come to Colorado! We have a progressive governor just reelected, all employers are begging for employees and the climate is fairly mild. Once we get rid of Lauren Boebert, everyone in the state will be either sane or institutionalized.

@LovinLarge I have considered it, but your cost of living is much higher, my kids and grands are just a few miles away, and I really like my job and want to stay with this company until I retire. My middle daughter is my designated driver for some upcoming appointment with health care professionals, soooo I'm kinda entrenched here.

@HippieChick58 Yep, you're already where the most important things are. Maybe just avoid the news when the political climate becomes overwhelming. Glad to know you are so lovingly entrenched.

Nebraska is a much better state than those like Colorado, California and New York.
