This guy was certainly past his peak reproductive years, and he had already sired offspring (at least one son, according to the article), but I think he still deserves honorable mention for a Darwin Award for a late removal from the gene pool.

I did a lot of dumb stuff as a youngster but I was never influenced by a desire for higher spiritual experience - I think that's what saved me.
