Religion pretends to have worth.
For the hominids here on earth.
Don't have the temerity.
To doubt it's sincerity.
Or the faithful will give you a wide berth.
Preachers and priests deliver an earful.
What if God is the synthesis of good will.
Charlatans use your kindness to grow financially fat.
How do you profit from news such as that.
Separating you from your money is their greatest skill.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I remember when Jimmy Swaggart was caught and put on a great performance with floods of tears asking for forgiveness from his parishionars. I watch one of his flock, a working guy in his ill fitting Sunday suit being interviewed. He said something like "What a brave man Swaggart was". Those poor sods are not even aware that they are being conned.

On top of that Swaggart cried and said "my god I have sinned against thee." All the KJV language about the incident and not a word about his wife. I guess he never sinned against his wife.
@DenoPenno Because like many xtians he views women as second class citizens subject to the authority of the male. It wasn't his idea, it's in the bible. I'm sure it was a one time thing! At least getting caught was a one time thing. Thank goodness that the supreme being who created everything sacrificed his "son" so Jimmy wouldn't have to spend eternity with Beelzebub.
