Satan wins again. Satanic Temple after-school club wins $200k settlement from Hellertown school district. [inquirer.com] ”Satanic Temple members try to start After School Satan Clubs in public school districts that allow Christian-based religious programs to use their facilities. They started a club in Saucon Valley because the Good News Club, which is Christian, had been permitted by the district. Satanic Temple members say they want to give families a choice, but otherwise do not support religion in the public schools. Everett said because the districts Good News Club appears now to be inactive, its After School Satan Club will be on hold. But she said they will seek to reopen it if the Christian club resumes.“We don’t go into schools when there aren’t religious clubs operating,” Everett said.”

I can even hear Dana Carvey's Church Lady on SNL commenting on this, "Could it be.... Satan??"..

Gives me the idea of creating a religion offensive to Christians and attempting the same thing with the aim of a court payout if denied 😂

Have you heard of this group? [spaghettimonster.org]

I like the Satanists' approach, only becoming active in a school if a Christian group is active there. It's rather Churchlillian; "We will fight them in the streets, we will fight them on the beaches,...we will never surrender." 😂😂😂

Asking for trouble in the US, me thinks.

No, dramatically making a very good point about "drawing lines" when religious feel there should be none.
I Love the Satanists, they can be Very effective! (And no they do not actually worship Anything but Freedom and Choice)

@annewimsey500 That is so true, however people in the US are far too trigger happy. Almost like a war zone.

@Jolanta I think throwing the devil at people is a lot different than shooting them.

@Jolanta Based on the number of mass shootings, the USA is officially in a state of civil unrest. The next step would be civil war. Hopefully we don't get there. It is not a foregone conclusion. Prosecuting Donald Trump may turn out to be a cathartic therapy that will break the fever.

@jackjr It certainly is different, however almost every week there is a shooting in the US, and for what.

@Jolanta A study I read years ago showed that owning a gun very often changes a person for the worse. Kind of like all the mild manner people who then get behind the wheel of a car and become real pushy jerks.

@jackjr Yes all these people who have guns suddenly think that they are ten feet taller and can throw their weight around. Well it is not turning out so good for them or anyone else seems to me.

@Jolanta No it's not but, in the end I say good riddance of those gun nuts who die. Too bad others do as well. What are the gun restrictions there?
