For those who like a mix of old and new, check out this combination: Astaire, Rogers, Carney, Crosby and Hope, Kelly, and many more hoof it to 'Uptown Funk':
I really, really like this video...
Loved video-made my day-all the dancers over the years-from musicals and Broadway revues. Awesome.
I've seen it before, but I had to cry a little because the dance steps/music synchronization was breathtakingly perfect for most of it.
My ex and I used to get several Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, and Marx Brothers from the library at a time, since we were avid jitterbug dancers.
I love Uptown Funk, and most Bruno Mars songs, since he reminds me of Michael Jackson.
I love this Marx brother's movie scene: 'A Day at the Races' (1937)—Lindy Hop scene.
The Marx brothers insisted the black dancers be in the movie, despite the racism of their producers, and the dance scene inspired white kids to start doing the the LIndy-hop themselves, and it went mainstream
