Mountains - no question for me. But I would be happy to have both - like in the Pacific Northwest!

At home in the hills (the Cascades are Mountains, the Appalachians are hills 😉) Missing the Oregon Coast, though ~

I’ve always loved the whole damn planet. I guess that’s why my degrees are in geosciences...

Mountains for me. Love the peace and quiet.

I love all three which is why I feel at home in Cali. But if I had to choose one, I'd say ocean.

I lived and worked in Yellowstone Park for over three years, then spent seven months in the Everglades, then moved here to Arizona. I love them all!

Ocean, I love the mountains and lived in the mountains for 7 years but came to the ocean every weekend. Now on the ocean, but only go to the mountains every 2nd month.

Forested hills/mountains with a rugged coastline if possible. That's why I like Maine so much.

Beach please! I prefer the tropical kind, but also love the picturesque NorCal and Pacific Northwest coastline. Monterey is awesome.

Always longed to live by the sea...I did a couple of times, but wages were just too low to stay...I still like to visit, but it just wasn't in the cards for me....

I would really like to live close to the ocean.

Beach. Any beach.

I live in the desert now.. but, I miss the ocean!

I've never lived more than 20 miles from the Ocean...mountains are nice to visit, but I'll take the ocean.

Mountains in the desert for me.

Defiantly ocean.

Ocean. I lived in San Francisco for three years and I miss it very much. Denver and it's mountain ranges are nice and all, but there's something about the sunset on a beach and watching the tide crash in to the rocks along the shore line (especially on a foggy day) that is really life affirming.

All of them, temporarily. But I'm a creature of the Eastern Woodlands. I always return here.

Wherever I decide to be.
I've lived near the great lakes and finger lakes, on the Atlantic coast, the gulf coast, next to rivers, currently the desert....flatlands, valleys, hills and mountains...north with all seasons, south with basically summer all the time.
Each has its good and bad.

Mountains.

All of them. Ha ha!
