I tend to hang out with younger people but I also hang out with people my age as well as older people. I really don't care about people's ages I care more about what they bring to the table.

Age doesn't matter to me. I am more interested in personality. My husband and I are around the same age (I'm six months older than he), but his age is not what attracted me to him. It was his intellect, sense of humor, compassion, and ambition (just to name a few things.)

I tend to go toward older because I don't want to have to deal with children in the household. People my age and younger tend to either have children or want them.

Age is not as important if both are on the same page....... That being said, the probability increases if both are within the same range

I don't think age matters very much -it might have done when I was younger but I ma 70 y.o. now and seemingly get along with most people.Young or old.

"just friends"...I find friendships between young and old are not common here, not much enduring interaction...I was a teacher in China for 3 years, so many many young friends there...

First wife within a year or two, second wife 7 years younger...girlfriends(and playmates) have ranged from 30+ years younger to 5 years older...I have never felt a need to check ID

Being the older person in the equation I feel like I stay in tuned by hanging around younger people. That can be anywhere from -10 to -40 years. I live in a college town so that is easy to do.

With regard to friendship, I have no age limit and my friends range from teenagers to 70+. For romantic relationships, I tend to stick to within seven years older or younger (we had an earlier discussion on this site about this and, for some reason, a lot of people seem to feel seven years either way is the ideal age range), but am willing to make allowances if there's a mutually-felt connection. I think that at least 99.9% of the time, however, my lower limit would be 30 as I can't imagine having much in common with someone younger than that.

When I was 19-20 it was “three above, three below” but the older I get the more that number expands. Now I’m almost 30 and the youngest i would probably date is 24 and the oldest I’m not sure of.

I don't think chronological age is a big factor, there needs to be a lot of rapport and connection. I think an age difference of > 30% or so makes that a little harder but it's not impossible.

I've date 11 years older to 13 years younger, the younger woman didn't get many of my 80s jokes but she was super smart and a great thinker. We dated for about 6 months and she had to move for her job, she's one of 2 I think would have been a possible life mate.

If I was being choosy, I prefer women younger than me. I feel like it’s pretty common for men to be that way. That being said, I find it easier to relate and be more comfortable around women closer to my age.
