I get that the point your are making about the only human alive not in the picture. that fact is cool. but the real significance for me, is the totality of the american endeavor to further our horizons. that we followed up on one of kennedy's grand ideas, to persevere through all the major trials and tribulations of the space program. and the usual american outcome of saying "Now What" and just giving it all up. been there, done that. sad
who took that shot i wonder
and I am now educated
That photo was taken by Michael Collins. He stayed behind in Apollo 11, while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin went down to the moon's surface in the Lunar Module.
How is that significant?
It’s neil n buzz flying the ascent stage of the lunar module back to the command n service capsule where Michael Collins remained in orbit around the moon, with earth in the background. So every human alive is in that frame except one. If there’s any other significance I didn’t think of do tell
The Lunar Module and the Landing module separated. Something like that. ???
Who took it.... Or how was it taken? The camera is above the Moon's surface.
Rideauxb, I know the answer, but I won't spoil it for others. I will message it to you privately.
