Welcome. Still have my facebook, though. My family who are in different geographical locations, are more prone to visit Facebook to see my family photos and family updates than they would be to visit Agnostic.com.

I stay with facebook because I have many friends from all over the world who are beautiful and interesting. I like people and I don't reject them on account of their religion. I am a convinced and open atheist, and my friends know this. I accept them as they are and they accept me as I am. My page is a secular and peaceful place where no one tries to change the beliefs of others. I deplore the fact that many people are being mislead by religious teachings, but I am happy to see that most people remain normal because common sense sense prevails in them over religious crazyness. Also more and more people are becoming atheists. So there are no reasons to despair.

MOST people here are better than the masses on FB. But there are still d-bags. But they don’t need religion. They are just d-bags because they can be.

But this is still a relative fun place to be around. I enjoy it for the most part. Just block anyone who tried to be a troll and if they overstep, report them.

I believe you are right on all of your points, civility has gone the way of the Dodo Bird, the religious can't seem to wait for the apocalypse to arrive and common sense is a gift that is rare and seldom seen. Welcome to the group of most civil, sane and reasonable people that make up this site - we have a few nutters of our own just to keep things from getting boring.

One way to make FB a little less depressing... dump trumpbillies and probably news too. The cat pics are nice though.
