I am taking a mental health art day at Baltimore Museum of Art. One of my favorite things to do is create little scenes via art and give them titles. Anybody else do this. If so add your titled photo to this post. I call this one "Lorette in White Turban surveys the Negress Nudes" Both pieces are Matisse.

I live near the area.... reckon I been missing out. Thanks for pointing out to me what should had been the obvious. Last time was there was decades ago for a latin culture dance event with live music and last two significant relationships encounter but only one knew of the other being there, appreciated how it was handled by both. Time to go back now that the coast is clear and enjoy a favorite like Matisse. But this is about you Amelie and Matisse and your mental health.

You would not believe how BMA has expanded. It is a wonderful day trip for me as an easy hour drive. And then always the quick trip into Fells Point for a walk along the harbor, coffee at Pitango, lunch at Sagamore Pendry if I'm feeling prosperous, or dinner at Gia's in Little Italy

@AmelieMatisse Now that you mapped out our date... we just need to pick a day in the almanac... just kidding... or am I? Always loved Fells Point. A lot of great memories. There was even times when we ran into the filming of a street crime show filmed in the 2000s in Baltimore or we ran into some of the actors in a salsa club downtown. It was great times for sure. There was always the usual "damn man I thought you were taller!".

That is a great museum. I spent many a day there when i lived in the area.

It is getting bigger and better. The Cone sisters' collection is amazing

@AmelieMatisse i heard!

@Bigwavedave and it is free! The only time you have to pay is if there is a special exhibit and it is a very small fee for that area. It is an easy hour drive for me to spend a day with their collection. Were you there since they opened the third floor of contemporary art?

Nope, I never have, but I like the idea. Perhaps the next one.

I find it a fun way to look at art in a different way while learning more about the artists.

Here is another " Matisse Nude Contemplates Marie Laurencin"
