It makes sense. I often develop interest, crushes, whatever you want to call it on people I know only through very sporadic online interactions and through observing their online presence and interactions with others. In my case, most of the guys I feel that way about are already attached with a spouse or girlfriend, so I don't want to step in the middle of that. However, a few of them seem unattached, but I've been far too scared to say anything to them to let them know my feelings. I feel like we don't really have that level of 'friendship' online, that rapport, for me to tell them something like that.

Yep I'd like to meet or get to know better some peeps on this site.
It is a target rich environment of like minded with similar attitude or compatible personalities to myself. I have had little interactions in pm but I don't bite.

Weird? I certainly don't think so. I've always looked at people's profiles and comments and wondered how it would be to really know them. Over the years I have made some good friends with just a little probing and a lot of real concer about their lives.

Most of my friends are interesting people who are scattered all over the world, people I have made a connection with over the years during our travels but most of the people who live physically close to me on the island are not very interesting at all. I stay in touch with my true friends via social media for the most part and meet up with them in person when we can find a way to make that happen. This group has more interesting people on it than I have found in the 3 years I have spent living on this island of 1,500 people and the surrounding area which adds another 150,000 people. Interesting people are like diamonds, precious and rare.

YEs it does. We think of what we wish to see and then see it. And that is just great but reality is not far behind.

I think we all have the same thoughts. If someone is intriguing though it is incredibly easy to say hi and strike up a conversation. ?
