What's the best thing you've ever done for your self? For me it was after retiring from my job in Indiana and moving here to Tennessee to be close to my kids and grandkids.Being a grandpa is awesome!

Divorcing my mother-in-law , buying shingles and re-roofing my house , putting myself through college . Investing in real estate and doing all the maintenance of my properties , myself . Retiring ! Yeah !

I think all the times that I've gone out of my way to push myself out of my comfort zone; that have made me grow in confidence and as a person.

I agree, after 34 years peace at last!......Ha ha ha

Breaking out of a controlling, co-dependent 14 year relationship... Tipped me into an ensuing 15 years of unhinged, mental turmoil and rebuilding, but I finally feel like I'm getting out the other side.

15 years ago, I could never have believed I'd be happy, married to the one woman I'd always admired and wanted and with a gorgeous child who rocks my world.

Takes some courage sometimes, but throwing your life in the air and starting again is usually worth it.

It is a tie between getting my divorce and retiring. I loved my profession and miss parts of it, but not much. I moved to my daughter and son in law's farm, at my own little house. I have my horses, dog and cat, and help on the farm. It is heavenly.

Retirement, by far. No grandkids yet, but I live reasonably close to my daughter.
