I know plenty of poor people who go to church. I came from an upper middle class religious family, and never once did I have to attend church, thankfully.

Because they've all died building the churches.

They are in a different church....the oldest, saddest cars going down the road are Always plastered with religious slogans!

The poor can`t put in the collection plate so they are asked to please sleep in the church on off-peak hours.

Social status. If you're not in the front row first thing on Sunday (especially in a small town or village), people think you are a bad person, and judge you.

If your poor, heaven may be all you have to look forward to obtaining. Try going to a different church.

That's because today's Republican/Conservative Jesus HATES poor people and does everything in his power to keep them away.

I don't actually see anyone in church because I'm not there to see them.

I think the poor definitely go to church but if they can’t they might watch it on tv or listen to the radio

You must live in a wealthier neighborhood. In fact, I believe there are more poor in churches, or lower classes, nationwide. Because religion is a palliative for economic injustice, which is my biggest rail against it.

Cause you are middle class. Take your filter glasses off. Tons of poor churches in destitute neighborhoods and every farm pasture community.

I think the poor go to church in great numbers in the belief that by showing loyalty to god they will improve their situation in life. It's like Republicans showing loyalty to tRump.

They are working at Walmart, Valero Gas and other places of service for the middle class.
