What do you do on Sundays?

Growing up, Saturday was laundry day and on Sunday we would have to go to church. That wasted the entire weekend. Unless it was during the summer, then we would go to the beach every other Sunday. Now, Saturday is fun day (beach, festival, museum, etc) and Sunday is laundry day and yard work. Happy Sunday y'all. Edited to reflect correct spelling (don’t want anyone having an aneurysm)

Haaa... usually chilling from the night before. Saturday is live music, beer and talking to strangers. Not last night. Not feeling that hot anymore. So this Sunday is only chilling and waiting to get back to work, which is the one thing that keeps my wheels spinning.

@MissKathleen thanks, I hope so too. Exercise keeps me feeling a lot better and I had to skip it last week. I'll try to get back on track this week. You too have a great week !!

When I'm not otherwise on a trip, Sunday mornings are my classical music times. I turn on Music Choice and change from my usual Indie channel to classical, and sip on my Sunday Morning Ice Coffee, which has blueberry, a shot of espresso (coffee brandy), and cream (Irish Cream). I sit back and get all classified up. Hmm, is there such a thing as blueberry brandy?

Whatever the hell I feel like.
Right now, I'm watching "Caddyshack".
Still makes me laugh.

Laugh at the silly blue laws here that say I can't buy beer or wine (but not hard liquor) until after noon, unless I were at a restaurant - then I could have a Bloody Mary in the AM if I wanted to.

Fortunately, church never occupied any part of Sunday as I was growing up. I usually have things I want to get done on the weekend but no fixed pattern if it is Saturday or Sunday to get them done. It helps that my work schedule is every other Friday off to get more days for weekend stuff every other week.

The usual "chores" as it were for the weekend.

Bake bread
Ride my bike
Groceries for the week
Laundry / Housecleaning

I try to make sure I have something to do on Sundays. It must be the most incorrectly named day in Ireland. It is just about never sunny. It is a dull, depressing day. I'm glad when Monday comes and the world is busy again. I don't want to join them, though. I just want to use the facilities (no, not the toilets, I mean the library, café, etc.)

What I do in Saturdays.

1

Do some cleaning, make a large (for me) breakfast. Then whatever. Read, sew, play games on phone, color, watch something on Netflix. Take garbage out layer.

Not much. Recover from karaoke night on Saturday mostly. Read, watch a couple episodes of Dexter (only four episodes left and then I'll have to find something new to watch) and do some laundry if it's needed.

2

House chores, usually laundry, cooking, shopping for necessities (nothing fancy), and for a couple years now, every other Sunday I attend an atheist ladies brunch. 🙂

Growing up, my dad would drive to town and buy the paper and a box of donuts and we'd each take our section and retreat to our own corner to read. Nowadays Sunday is for watching cooking shows.

Sunday is usually a work day. If not there's usually family stuff to deal with.

1

Exercise, go to the grocery, visit my mom, dread Monday.

2

Growing up... Sundays was to hop in a bus and go visit my sisters on my own. The reward was my 2 elder taught me how to dress up on my teen years. Now... I am retired so what gives? But I can't stand rainy Sundays. Last sport I follow... NFL Season Coming. So Jaguars are My Church, Tom Coughlin is My Messiah!

Sleep in.

Growing up it was just going to church.

Now, it is just qanother day to get things done, or to go on a hike and just enjoy the day.

Bit of a lie, unless I'm working an early, boot sale, swimming, time with youngest. Today was taken up getting ready for a camping holiday on Dartmoor 🙂
