With the advancement we have seen in just the past 10 years, I can't imagine a scenario where it won't occur at some point short of nuclear annihilation. Even if the premise is flawed its still answerable as a thought experiment.

@paul1967 i can in fact imagine such a scenario, and i make it a personal policy, about which i am probably not as strict as i mean to e, not to answer thought experiments with flawed premise.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a spouse you can unplug when it gets annoying?

i'd rather not have one in the first place.
