As someone who resides in the South, and have been threatened to be lynched during my life, I am not surprised that there are no laws against lynching. The Republican majority leader in the Senate will never bring that bill on the floor to be voted on.

Lynching should be a federal hate crime and those involved in any such lynching should be tried for murder in the first degree.
