This song right here: Every time I hear it, I have to sing, dance, and shake a tail feather.

" if you could read my mind" by Gordon Lightfoot.

Love Gord. Amazing songwriter. Had the privelege of hanging out with him a few times.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE Gordon. I will listen to the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald on repeat.

Oh man. I LOVE the verbal imagery in that song.

@Axeman517 - Oh cool, what era was that? I've yet to see him live, and I'd like to - I'm also a fan of his acoustic guitar player Carter Lancaster who himself is a recording artist.

@Hominid - you definitely should see him while you can. Every time he comes around could be his last, so I go.
I got acquainted with him in the mid 00’s... in Vegas or Reno, he’d come hang out on the casino floor after a show so we had a few conversations. Got to jam with Terry Clements in his room once, who was an amazing gypsy player and a great guy. I miss him!
I was actually trying to convince Gordon to let me produce his next album, and he even called me at home once to discuss it (thankfully a friend was over at the time, or else nobody would believe me lol).
It’s such an honor to be 1 on 1 with someone who’s music you heard on the radio as a child.

@Axeman517 - He's playing in Ottawa Nov. of this year - I just looked up ticket prices... they range from $195 to $445! Unreal... A little too much for this cat.

@Hominid wow that’s odd... usually they’re about $75 or so!

@BlueWave I will sing that on repeat.

Sorry, there's not just one. I could be posting all night.

My son's name...Stevie Ray. No lie.

@Paul628 Great name. No lie. 😉

One of my guitar gods. I wish I could play like him.

Wish you were here by Pink Floyd.

Bohemian Rhapsody

This make the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Me too!

Wayne's World IMMORTALIZED Freddie's beautiful mock-opera... if ya can't poke fun at it, it's too snooty for R&R

@WizardBill Just don't look at your mind's eye when you sing it.

"Highlander" reference alone...... Ok and I love "Queen".

He had an amazing range. [consequenceofsound.net]

Bohemian Rhapsody by queen

The "one".... hahahahah

I've got a mountain of them.

I've got like five just in the David Bowie category.

How about this? If they would play this on the radio just one time, I'd sing along like a mofo.

Wow, love the sacrilege... without the religious stomping, Bwana Dik by FZ & the Mothers of Invention is pretty similar fun

Anything Freddie Mercury. I try to keep up. Off key, but trying to hit high and low notes. He had incredible range to go with his incredible voice!

6

Prince's "Little red corvette".

I just heard this one today and I had to sing along 🙂

Can't fail to hit the notes on almost any Depeche mode song, but also a perfect fit for this website/crowd

Tom Petty - I Won’t Back Down

When my friend and I sing this at the top of our lungs, after a couple drinks, we sound like we should go on tour -- Helen Reddy's "I Am Woman."

Okay, so I'm exaggerating a bit. I have a terrible singing voice. But it's FUN!

Kind of a corny song to admit to, but that's what it is. And, actually, it's tied with "Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A." 🙂

"Do you wanna touch me?" By Joan Jett.

3

Watch "ANDY GIBB - I Just Want To Be Your Everything" on YouTube

I was 24 when this came out...

3

This gets me doing the nasty moves when I hear it!

DNCE - Cake By The Ocean

3

That reminds me I owe @ellendale a crooning. It's coming Ellen but I've been sick as a dog but if a ballad can be considered super star I always accompany the Beatles with In My Life.

2

System of a down- chop suey I love that song can't help but sing to it.

2

I don't listen to the radio but when this song rolls up from my mix my oldest son and I tear it up.

2

I sing to almost everything recorded before 2000. Whether I know the words or not.

But probably Elvis Costello's What's So Funny About Peace Love and Understanding is my most requested.

The request is usually to turn that shit down. I like it because my son also dig's Elvis.

2

Anything by the Beatles, Beach Boys, Denver, Lightfoot, Croce, and PPM.

2

The Twilight Zone by Golden Earring.

2

One gets me unstoppable though it is instrumental: Battle Without Honor or Humanity from the Kill Bill soundtrack.

For singing along? Break On Through from the Doors and 18 Wheeler from P!nk.

Coconut

This is the song I sing to my grandkids as a lullaby. They all learn it by the time they're 4.

I used to sing it to my daughter when she was little. @Eazyduzzit

@Gatovicolo
