In no certain order

  1. The Pillows
  2. Voltaire
  3. The Beatles
  4. Ninja Sex Party
  5. Queen

Already done queen, Beatles are overdone (huge fan, but what disk, what period?)
and I know nothing of the others, so please enlighten me about those, always want to expand musical horizons

@Davesnothere I'm going to include some of my first experiences with these as well.
The Pillows are a Japanese band that provided the entire sound track for my #1 anime Fooly Cooly.

Ninja Sex Party is a duet that took off on You Tube. There last two albums have been cover albums, but the first four were full of original songs about the adventures of Danny Sex Bang and Ninja Brian, the two members of the band.

Voltaire is a gothic musician. Most of his songs include the use of a violin, and accordion. His songs tend to follow a theme to the album.

@Luke_the_Duke Thanks, I always enjoiy brodening my horizons musicaly, make me a little less ignorant.

I am always looking for new artist and new sounds but at the moment, not necessarily in order:

  1. Drive by Truckers (Southern rock)
  2. Parquet Courts (post punk)
  3. Bomba Estereo (Latin Electronic)
  4. El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico (salsa)
  5. Brazilian Girls (defunct electronica band)
  6. Queens of the Stone Age (rock)

and many more.

Anyone not familar with this band will hear their ifluences quickly on this track

I hear ZZ Top and 70's rock

I recently discovered the narcocorrida genre. Great stuff.
