What jobs have you had?

@silvereyes just post a question about what job would you have. This right at the same time as I was thinking this question; what does everyone here do?

They go hand-in-hand, don't you think? 🙂

I've worked a fryer at Arby's.
I've made sandwiches at McDonald's.
And I'm currently a houseman at a hotel.

I hope in the near future I can get a job working at a plant or something similar.

20 years in clinical/surgical/clinical research specific to ophthalmology. Last 5 years as a server/bartender in different resorts. I burned out of medicine in America. I loved it, would like to get back to it eventually but a lot of changes in approach and policy need to happen first. You can only bang your head against a brick so long before you loose your mind.

I was forced to retire 5 years ago but my career dabbling was in teaching special needs children, marketing fora solar energy firm and the defunct NE Solar Energy Center -part of DOE, and sales representative/manager for multiple consumer goods companies) and area manager for gift companies. I also formed two companies that were LLCs-Rainbow Circle of Friends (an all-inclusive intro/socialization service) and Green Lady (fair trade goods). I was working as a sales manager for McLane, a Berkshire Hathaway Company when I got sick. I'm good 5 yrs laater. Some of the companies Ihave been a sales rep for may be familiartoyou" Hersheys Chocolate, M & M Mars, Wrigleys, Phillip MorrisVan Program, Drake Bakeries, Fuego Cubano Gund and Giftcraft.

No hobbies included. Lines containing more than one item were simultaneous. Anyone raised on a farm will know that the kids 'earn' their keep, but I won't count that as a job. Note that Author continues throughout because it is something that never stopped. Originally only magazine articles, filler pieces, and short stories. Later working in novels, science articles, and short stories. Now I am having lots of fun.

I'm a disabled animal artist but its something I enjoy so can't call it work.i have reared chickens, trained as a chef, worked in engineering and quite a few labouring jobs. my last job was slaughtering pigs which I'm not proud of but I did respect them and killed them as quickly as possible. i actually hate cruelty for the sake of being cruel.

By your standards, I have never 'worked' a day in my life because I enjoyed everything I've done.

My motto: Always do what you like and you'll always like what you do.

Palliative and hospice care.

Palliative care has kept me sane as a cancer survivor-much needed

I admire people with this much needed skill and heart. When my husband was dying at home the hospice team was the glue that held me together.
