I am either or kind of person. But every situation is different. Being able to leave physically may or may not be possible. I have to say with this situation I am in now which is not even a relationship I have no means and I am not capable of leaving in any physical way.

That's just sad

It varies with the relationship.
It can be a sudden thing like being cheated on, or a gradual build up where you dread coming home to the other person.
