Oh sweetie, this is the wrong move, but it is your choice. I wish you well. 😞

Her choice but this is a woman I would avoid. Been looking at a once addicted woman recently who went back to the church to control her addiction. This is working for her but I do not see any of it working for me. Time I quit looking at her. I see her once a week at a food distribution place.

Go Darwin...

Love the song, . :I did it MY WAY.!!!:
Glad I didn't grew up religious, just my brother was. Pro choice all the way.

Oh dear, it’s sad to read. I guess she’s entitled to make her own decisions, even if she doesn’t extend that to others.

1

Consent consent consent.
She made a choice, between herself and her doctor. As long as she was informed and not coerced, it none of anyone's fucking business.
Really sick of do gooders in this world. Yes the world has wankers who make decisions you don't agree with, get the fuck over yourself. Because the alternative is authoritarian control.
Exactly the same as vaccines.
Consent consent consent

She is perfectly entitled to "let Jesus take the wheel" and we are perfectly entitled to say "We told you so you stupid cunt". Because this is a decision she would readily take away from others.

@273kelvin People should be true to themselves. As the religious love deciding for us all which we resist, does not mean we lower ourselves to their level. It's a slippery slope brilliantly illustrated by the US war on terror. We lowered our principled positions to fight this war eg legalizing torture so once on this slippery slope, it's hard to get off. Don't believe me? The "West" now accept genocide using a powerful military for political objectives.................that is how far we have slid down this slope.

She made a personal medical choice and as long as her consent was freely given none of us should care. You're either for personal consent for all medical treatment or you are not.

@puff I already said I had no problem with her making that decision. That said she is a very public person and would want to force her way of thinking onto others. So I also see no problem in pointing out what a stupid cow she is. She has a right to be stupid but no right to force that stupidity upon others.
As for the war on terror, it is a bit of a leap mate, A bit like "the elephant and the Polish problem" (I can explain if you wish)

@273kelvin I'm all for calling her an idiot but defend her right to make her own informed choice after consulting her own medical professionals.
Why do you find it a leap? Both cases illustrate what happens when you start allowing exceptions to your principals. It becomes a slippery slope that degrades your principled self.
You may need to explain Polish elephants as I have no clues, perhaps a WW II reference regarding not speaking out?

@puff 1, She has a right to be an idiot
2, She has a right to act on the stupidity.
3, She has a right to campaign on behalf of the stupidity.
That said, we also
4, Have a right/duty to call out her stupidity as a counter to her campaign.
At no point has anyone talked about taking her choice away from her.

The elephant and the Polish problem.
Once upon a time, there was a school in a diplomatic zone that had kids from all over the world in its class. A young female teacher new to the school wanted to get to know her pupils better and asked all of the children to write a story about an elephant. Each kid wrote their elephant story apart from the Polish kid who wrote "The Elephant and the Polish Problem". In other words, You are turning into that guy who within 5mins will turn any subject towards his holiday in Bali.

@273kelvin "At no point has anyone talked about taking her choice away from her.".
This is my whole point. Perhaps you are correct that none here have talked about taking away choice in this particular case. But these same principled people seemed to have little problem promoting taking away choice when it suits them.
I just like knocking people off of their white horses. Not my fault if certain nationalities make it too easy to do that because they are so full of their own self importance and superiority. We like cutting tall poppies in Australia, perhaps you have forgotten.

@puff So let me get this straight. Nobody has actually suggested taking away her choice "in this particular case."
But you fear that we are the "type" to do so.
So on that basis/assumption, you feel justified in having a pop at us.
I wonder just who is full of self-importance and superiority in this equation?

@273kelvin It's called Karma. The amount of shit I put up with on this site from moralistic wankers during Russiagate and Covid was atrocious. Then the old US election topic of abortion raises its head once again (Aust sorted that out in the 70's like most cosmopolitan societies) and the utter hypocrisy flowed unabated.
I'm just a dipshit winging it through life. Ironic that when I pop superior bubbles these self important people suddenly become the victims when you point out their hypocritical bollocks.
So Ok to call this woman an idiot as a member of the Agnostic group but I shouldn't dare criticise other Agnostic members?

@puff Perhaps you might get less shit on this site (or elsewhere) if you popped some real bubbles instead of clouds of your own making.

@273kelvin Oh really? "Safe and effective" comment.
Planning your Ukranian victory parade are we?

@273kelvin [msn.com]

@puff So how was Bali?

@273kelvin Never set foot in Bali, sat in a plane stopping over is as close as I've gotten.
The American empire is dying, BRICS is on the rise. White colonial supremacy is on the nose identified as "The West", defined by support for Israel. The most on the nose in the West are the English speakers, collectively known as "5 eyes". Our nations are going down, we just haven't realised yet. This is called hubris (on steroids). From a world citizen view, this is a good thing. Enabling genocide is disgusting and our citizens will not fight to defend that "Western" legacy. The greatest generation fucked up, as have the baby boomers.
I agree with this guy, we are witnessing empire self destructing.
We watched the fall of communism as an ideology for governance. We are witnessing the same in the fall of Capitalism, powerful multinationals with the ability to coerce state militaries to do their bidding now have control.
The communist experiment failed.
The American experiment is failing rapidly
The Israeli experiment, the last Western colony, is also self destructing.
These are all good things not for my lifetime, but the lives of those that will follow me
That is if we don't blow ourselves up first attempting to maintain a failed ideology.

When indoctrination overrides self-preservation, it proves the intentions of religions is to use and control and has nothing to do with morals or values.

This is the first time in days that I was able to access your post and not get the unavailable notice. Nice to see you back in my alerts. 🙂

One less anti-abortion idiot. Coming right up!

And..............................why should we care? If you believe in freedom of belief and having control over your own body then accept her decision. You can't cherry pick this shit. Either support consent or support authoritarian rule because you can't have both.

Even if it only results in her requiring a hysterectomy, at least she won't be indoctrinating any more kids with her craziness.
