Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I would feel so unsympathetic to see him assassinated, but it would never happen, and even if it did, he would be replaced by a Repub appointee that would be worse. As for needing two more Dems in the Senate to force him and Sinema to cooperate, I bet that behind those two obvious traitors to the Dems, there are probably at least another six to ten Dem senators who are just as corrupt and happy to sabotage progressive legislation. Right now Manchin and Sinema are glad to play the villains for the Dems, so the rest of them don't have to show their true colors as much or openly as those two.

Here's the worldwide coal production over time. The USA and Western Europe have been steadily decreasing production. China and India have been steadily increasing production. Pretending that the actions of the USA are a significant cause of global warming is being deliberately naive:

The planet is literally burning up, but Manchin is talking about inflation, while ignoring the environment, medical care and infrastructure. Coal, is only one small piece of the package. We are not at a point where we can be fully free of fossil fuels, but we are at a point we can start replacing many of them.
It is short sighted people that have allowed the situation to get this bad, if Carter's plan had not been scrapped by Reagan, we would be fossil fuel free by now.
