Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.We seemed, at least for a while, to fix the problem of school segregation by race, but we never did by class. It sure would solve a lot of social problems if we did what Finland did there, along with all the other socialist and economic reforms and programs. But their system is not totally corrupted and run by money, so until that changes, it's a pipe dream..

Finland also has a progressive, means-based penalty system for traffic violations. A very wealthy person could be fined $20,000 for speeding, whereas a minimum wage earner might be fined the minimum amount of several hundred dollars.

That's how it is in a lot of Europe. Unless the fines are severe enough be meaningful and actually punitive to the rich, there is no point in them, regarding the rich. Everything needs to be progressive in a society for it to be truly fair or equal..
