glennlab blocked me today because he got all butt hurt that I criticized his beloved, corrupt Dem Party in the Liberal Progressive Party group. I guess the truth hurts, after I made the case for how his party only cares these days, at least at the fed level, about raising all the corporate cash they can and defeating any progressives that run in primaries against their corporate, centrist Dem candidates, while winning general elections really doesn't matter near as much to them. He made some bullshit personal attacks on me, so I told him to shove it and fuck himself. I guess that Dem loyalists like him can't stand it when someone tears apart their whole vote-shaming arguments for continuing to support the Dems, or either major party, for that matter, in federal elections. There must be a good reason that more eligible voters in America don't bother anymore, over 80 mil., more than how many vote for either major party anymore. Because they have figured out, unlike most of those who still vote, that it doesn't really matter much which major party holds power, and that they really don't have representation in either major party.
There is a reason that the DLC, which was established in the late 80s to make the Dem Party more business friendly, in favor of tax cuts for the rich and corporations, more anti-worker, and more globalization-friendly, was dissolved several years ago. It was because it had fully succeeded by then in making the Dems Republican lite, and only different from them on culture war issues and identity politics. It was Mission Accomplished, same as the slogan W. used after the invasion of Iraq.
