Trump Demands Constitution Be Set Aside and He Be Reinstated as President

Reacting to a Twitter post from Elon Musk who claimed Democrats violated the 1st Amendment by collaborating with big tech (Twitter), to remove tweets that featured pornographic photos of Hunter Biden during the 2020 election,” former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to demand that the United States Constitution be set aside and that he be reinstated as president. Trump further claimed that "A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great 'Founders' did not want, and would not condone False & Fraudulent Elections!”

Now, let me get this straight, Trump wants the US Constitution to be suspended - because Twitter refused to publish photos of “Hunter Biden's junk” during that last presidential election? The thing is Elon, Democrats weren’t even in power in 2020 - Trump was, which would make it a bit difficult for them to violate the 1st Amendment if they weren’t the government. I mean, let’s get real here. It isn’t as if Trump would ever be motivated to actually read anything that’s in the Constitution, anyway. The only Constitution he knows anything about is the 2nd Amendment, and how to plead the 5th when you’re under oath.

Anyway, so we now have a former president who is actually calling for the “nullification of our Constitution and democratic elections.” By contrast, our current president Joe Biden is attempting to forgive some student debt - which, apparently in the eyes of Republicans, is much, much worse. Call me old-fashioned, but I’ve always assumed that “a call to terminate the Constitution” would be a disqualifier for an office that requires “an oath to defend the Constitution.” I'm funny like that. Of course, a few Republicans have actually been brave enough to denounce Trump’s candidacy. Sorry, but it’s a little late for that. The Supreme Court has already ruled the Republican Party “must carry Trump's campaign to term, even if his candidacy is severely deformed.”

Now, not to be critical, but just why in the hell would someone who is clearly seriously mentally ill, who has committed massive fraud in his business practices, who ran fake schools and charities, who orchestrated an attempted overthrow of the government of the United States, and who is currently openly calling for the nullification of our Constitution, be allowed to run again for the office of the president? Now, I know most folks in this country want “representative government,” but I rather doubt they meant to include representation for all the country’s grifters, psychopaths, and narcissists. Just a thought.

You say Trump called for "nullification of our Constitution and democratic elections.” When did he call for the nullification of democratic elections exactly?
He is a nutter but he did not call for that. Take away personalities and these are the questions that should be asked.
Why was a media company censoring speech at the behest of a political party?
Why were state agencies involved in suppressing free speech domestically in the USA?
Why did media also suppress newsworthy content?
Do these questions not concern Americans regarding their constitution?

Trump's actual in context quote was
"A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great 'Founders' did not want, and would not condone False & Fraudulent Elections!”
I take this as him saying that those responsible should not be able to hide behind " rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution". Agree with the sentiment.

And then we have the personalities behind it all. Agree with your last sentence but that applies to all in politics I'm afraid. The two big parties for sure. Same shit different wrappers.
Trump is a psycho, not good leadership material. Both Trump and Biden are Grifters, using their powerful positions to enrich immediate family and themselves.

You agree with Trump’s sentiment about abandoning the constitution. Do you also agree with his other sentiments; like nuking of hurricanes, white nationalists are very fine people, and painting Chinese flags on American planes to bomb Russia?

@Garban No, I agree with the sentiment that bureaucracy should not enable people to squirm out of this suppression of information which is itself an "abandoning of the constitution" Americans hold so dear. 1st amendment I believe. You may be sure the old "can't tell you for national security reasons" will be used liberally by those forced to testify in any enquiry.
Trump's a brash, in your face all American boy, a poster boy for US capitalism. Be proud.
Do you agree with agencies like the FBI being active in suppressing information during an election campaign?

My friend! No one is really fooled by your "free speech" argument. We know EXACTLY what Trump is calling for. Just because he speaks in "dog whistles," doesn't mean his intentions aren't clear. I suggest you save those phony arguments of "government suppression of free speech" for the fascist MAGA crowd. Cheers!

@johnnyrobish When state security services become active in election campaigns it's not long as it is on behalf of the side I support of course. Do you Americans understand the FBI acted to favour one presidential candidate over another? Because I don't think you do. Next time, the FBI may decide they should act to favour someone like Trump, or do you think they will always side with good, upstanding democratic candidates like Biden? Let this stand and a new precedent will be set and there is a good chance that in a future election, the FBI may decide not to act in your interests. This would be called Karma.
Rome is burning but look! Trump's playing a fiddle, which is much more important.
Trump holds no public position, so can't understand why he is not ignored. He loves the attention so starve him of it. An easy target to blame for democrats though I suppose, and great for ratings!
I am hardly MAGA but if you feel better thinking that, go for it!
