I can't take a photo of my cat's stash spot. My cat, Zippy, has torn open the bottom of my box spring covering to climb up into the box springs and hide his watches. Zippy has 19 watches hidden in the box spring of my bed. I gave him 20 watches for him to play with. They were just costume junk from eBay batches. There is only one watch left in his bag. Funny thing is that it is the only watch that actually worked. Figure that out.
My cats like to shove their toys under heavy furniture that I rarely move. Every few years, I move a large piece of furniture and find a dozen tinsel balls. They cats push their toys out of reach, then bellyache that they can't get their toys back.
Haven't you figured it out? Your cats are playing fetch with you. They push their toys under heavy furniture and you're supposed to fetch it back out for them.
I love moving furniture to find catnip mice and invented toys by cats
I think if I moved my nightstand it would look like that, plus I'm missing several lip balm tubes. I found one of the cats playing with a similar tube on the stairs.... I think under the bed, and under the sofa will look the same. The same cat knocks dry cat food around for hours, and I think a cup or two may be underneath the stove and fridge by now.
If you decide to check any of those spots, take pictures.
My cat, Annie, likes to wedge her toy mice underneath the linen closet door. Fortunately, this makes her stash easy to get to.
Tomorrow tomorrow I love ya tomorrow you're only a day a way. ...gotta love Annie

Posted by LaurenI thought this was an accurate representation of how we feel every time we remember our last cat, which happens often when my daughter and I laugh over our current cat's antics.
