In Kentucky, they are working on a law allowing cops to arrest over insults or gestures. Giving cops the right to use excessive force more often.
What will happen if one does not live in the state and and sent some cops an insulting letter? Some of the new proposals coming out of these conservative states is scary.
And they wonder why people don’t respect them.
It went through their senate. It is so poorly written and is so illegal, but until it is stopped, how much harm if it goes through?
@Beowulfsfriend what they are attempting is blatantly obvious that it’s a First Amendment issue, and it will be challenged in court. But why do this crap to begin with? All repubs do is piss people off with this behavior. What are they gaining?
@Redheadedgammy They keep their racist base alert and at the ready. They know they can't deliver on a lot of this shit, they just want people to keep on being drones, responsive to a few tropes - race, god, guns, controlling women, bitching about not enough xtion control.
@Beowulfsfriend That sounds like a good explanation. I have trouble understanding people who think like repubs do.
