I'm wondering if there is a politician or public figure that would likely run for office of president that progressives can get behind 100%. Anyone that really gets you fired up about politics in a good way? I hear all this stuff about the republicans are so bad and I don't disagree with that statement but I'm not hearing anything about really good democrats. Are we just stuck with Biden and Harris? I don't have confidence in those folks. Is there anyone on the horizon new that we should be aware of?

@Charlene None in Australia and to be perfectly honest, it does not matter as we are a fiefdom of US power.
We never did become a country in hindsight. Never quite lost the colonial attitude of rape and pillage to pay homage to the Motherland. Have moved away from mother but still need our security blanket and luckily, Uncle Sam stepped in.
We need to get better control of congress first. Then worry about 2024. I like Bernie, just not sure at his age if he can drive it forward. AOC would be a good choice, but is she even old enough?

@JonnaBononna An interesting concept. I’m not sure how it could be introduced to our system here in the U. S. though. I mean how would you convince someone who is attracted to Authoritarians that this would work to their benefit?
There are no good democrats. Democrats are center right when you compare internationally. Almost all nationally elected democrats are neoliberal. Bernie, who everyone thinks is extremely full on socialist, is center left. I like AOC, but really anyone who is in politics has to play the game until we can get enough in there who really care about the working people.
