I think these topics are always dealt with in a far too superficial manner. For starters the nature of animals dictates to many an energy conserving mode as the most natural, which is far too often referred to as laziness when it comes to human primates. The opposite to this rather natural tendency is often referred to as work. For a long time the prime definers, the lackeys of the domninant classes, made people believe that work is a virtue and that those who refuse to prostitute themselves as parasites.
Physical work can be easily defined as a flow of energy. As far as human activities are concerned this is far more arbitrary. Some people get paid to strip off their clothes, others get paid to put certain clothes on and others get paid to take photos of these processes.
Sports demand the same energetic input whether performed as a leisure activity or a profession.

There doesn't appear to be any limit to human activities and a very arbitrary process to qualify some tasks as work just depending on the circumstances. Soldiers get rewarded for bulk killing of fellow humans. However, the same soldiers might get punished when they indulge in freelance killing.
Sex workers perform sex as a job, other have to pay to perform the same job.
Taking advantage of any given circumstances is usually identified as a sign of intelligence. When lawyers find ways to dissimulate income from taxation authorities they are admired.
Bankers are being handsomely rewarded for stealing money from their customers.

The problem sometimes is the fact that European nations like Sweden are easily been taken advantage of their democratic egalitarian system.. the Muslim immigrants adhere to a different rules, guided mostly by a strict religious principals. they obviously clash with a more libertarian society. The resentment bring out the far right as a political solution..
