IMO, Americans are not ready for democracy.

IN 1973, SCOTUS gave us Roe vs. Wade and we did nothing to keep it, to make it law.

Another SCOTUS took it away.

Roe Vs Wade is what, 50 years old? So 50 years of Congress failed to ratify that judgment into law. It's easily done eg Much of what Snowdon exposed as illegal acts by government agencies have now been made legal via congress and WH decree..
A huge failure from both sides of politics really.
