Pregnant Woman in Carpool Lane Tells Texas Cop Her Fetus is a Person

The Daily Beast is reporting that a pregnant Plano, Texas woman named Brandy Bottone, told the police officer who had pulled her over for “driving alone in the carpool lane” that under Texas law and after the repeal of Roe v. Wade, her fetus now counted as a passenger.

Not surprisingly, the cop told her that in order to use the HOV lanes, there must be two people in the car, and that means another person “outside of the body.” Well, if that’s the case, you can soon expect one helluva lot of Texas women to start having “out-of-body experiences.” That said, I’m sure all these legalities will get amicably sorted out, just as soon as Texas begins requiring all women to register their pregnancies with state Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Naturally, some libtards are claiming Texas Republicans have “double standards,” but it’s important to remember that if Texas didn't have “double standards,” they'd have no standards whatsoever. Hell, the way things are going with Texas law, in a few years - every single ejaculation will be issued a birth certificate. Now, in all fairness to the cop, she could have at least put a cardboard cutout of a fetus in an infant car seat, just to give the poor cop a heads-up.

Meanwhile, women’s rights groups are insisting she should fight this - and get that ticket aborted. Anything short of that would be a “miscarriage of justice!” Put in layman’s terms - that means “Bad cop! No donut for you!” Of course, Republicans will argue even if she is pregnant, there’s still legally only one person in the car - the fetus. That’s because, in the eyes of Republicans, a woman doesn’t actually count as a person. So, it’s welcome once again - to Republican Party America!

Yes, take this to court. There is no way they are going to be able to keep the law without opening a bees nest.
