12 Herbs You Can Grow With Just Water All Year

Basil works best for me...I trim the leaves every 4-6 days and blend them with garlic and shelled pistachios for a nice Pesto!
Yum, I love basil. During growing season, sometimes I touch it just to get the scent on my hands. Yummy with sliced tomatoes and mozzarella.
@MsKathleen I have to admit that while I do grow it only in water....I use a hydroponic "machine" complete with lights and occasional automatic watering....but it is, in fact, grown with "just water" (and a few nutrients).
@MsKathleen My Hydroponic "machine"...
I did not know this. I wonder if you need to change the water every few days, and also give them a little water soluble plant food? There was no information about my question.
I haven’t tried it yet. My best advice is to keep an eye on the water and change it if it gets nasty. Remember that your tap water is chlorinated and probably not the best for plants.
Yeah, if you don't have cats maybe My girlies would mess those up so bad, and I really don't have good sunlight for most indoor plants. I love my trees, but I miss having houseplants.
