@bigpawbullets Sort of.
There are some models for urban living with solar panels on top, green houses on top floor, condos in mid floors shops/businesses lower and finally waste recycling in the basement for a totally self contained unit. I like the idea!

Interesting, there is an area in W. Seattle known as Alki [seattle.gov] see all those condominium in the distance? There was an article where a women died who had a small house on that part of the beach and refused to sell when a contractor was building some condo's. So they built around her and it looked just like your picture.
