Good luck with the Kiwi. It is a vine plant and can take over. Our climate is too cool for most of the others but I like the ginger root. Potatoes should be grown from seed potatoes so as to avoid diseases. I have also done the squash planting and it works + you can pick the largest seed. Thanks for the tips.

@MissKathleen I understand and there were some good ideas. I want to plant this years Kale but they are small seeds. Your video showed to place the small seed in a paper towel and start them that way instead of simply spreading them.
BTW Fuzzy Kiwi is a plant for a temperate climate such as ours. It won't grow well in hot climates.People think it grows in Australia and so must be tropical (I did). It is not and my neighbor proves it (you will see)

@MissKathleen However, they won't be pickable until Nov/Dec and won't be ready for eating until spring.

@MissKathleen There will be some in the store, though.

@MissKathleen What can I say. I will need to be reminded, though. I had a great Kiwi photo but can't download it as it is on a word document.

@MissKathleen No it was a recipe for a type of cake known as rollett. It was covered with Kiwis. I'll send it to you via e-mail.

@MissKathleen But I bet this wouldn't stop you from getting at the fruit (Kiwis). Besides, it's way above my capability and it has gluten and eggs.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
