My Butterfly bush is finally blooming. I have heard this plant is often referred to as the "Purple Penis Plant." Looking this up I found some interesting things.

Very nice! I want one.

Photo was one I took while visiting a friend's garden.

I had a beautiful silver one. And many purples, pinks and blues. The silver was my favorite.

I did not know they came in different colors. Wonder if one can graft one colored stem to another.

@JackPedigo , closest I ever came to grafting was taping a cannabis branch back on the plant my dog knocked it off of. But it took.

@freeofgod A lot of non-fruit plants can be grafted even tomatoes.

The picture on the first site #4 and #5 is rhodochiton vine. It is one of the prettiest little vines. I just love it!

Looks rather like a lilac bush .

Unfortunately, I have both and they need radical pruning every year.

We just call it buddleia here in the UK. It comes in a range of purples and white, but the basic light purple seems to attract the most butterflies.

Never heard the alternative name you referred to. I prefer "butterfly plant" as we have enough of the other reference in the world. =0}

In the link numerous plants were shown including what looks like this plant. Of course English and the US often have different expressions.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
